Halloween in Downey – Event Schedule

Fall is upon us! Whether you’re a fan of Halloween or not, it is undeniably an indicator that we’re at the most amazing time of the year – the holidays! Towards the end of this month, Downey has some awesome family events that I would love to share with you all. I find that many community events sometimes lack advertising and many parents and families wish they would have known about them sooner! Here are some events for you to attend or share with loved ones:


A Princess Trunk or Treat

Shop local vendors, carve a pumpkin, meet your favorite princesses, and more!

Kids Zone Event – Harvest Monsters

Looking to scare up some fun? October 12th from 11am to 12pm at the JCPenney Kids Zone, this FREE activity kits include a super cool Frankenstein or an adorable Scarecrow, 2 stickers sheets to dress them up, a cute collectors pin, and much more!  PLUS, parents receive an extra-savings coupon!  It’s sure to be Spooktacular fun!

Fiesta de Las Calaveras

Courage Forward and Rotary of Downey will host Fiesta De Las Calavaeras on Saturday, Oct. 26th 4:00 pm-10:00 pm for the first time ever at Stonewood Center!

The festival will include 2 stages of live entertainment, foodtrucks, beer garden, vendors, crafts for kids and vintage car display.

Dia de Los Muertos Taco Festival
